Tadake Falls

It was finally the weekend - so we took Sean on a fun adventure - Tadake Falls!
We loved this little trip to a beautiful waterfall.

Unfortunately, it gets a little crowded on the weekends - but we were able to swim for a little and then venture to the top of the waterfall.

Kisses under the waterfall!

Sean was being brave - or crazy - and looking over the top of the waterfall. SCARY!

After Tadake Falls, we pulled over to a random beach, blew up our floats and floated in the East China Sea.

We love Okinawa!

River Trekking - June 2013

This was by far one of my favorite days!

A few of us girls went on a river trek - Thanks to Erin and Aimee for finding this place.
It was a blast - we walked for a few miles down this river and then found the perfect place to eat lunch.

I know all of you are silently judging our peace signs and our water shoes - don't worry if any of you ever make it out here you'll start to take the traditional japanese peace sign picture too.

We found this beautiful place and sat to have lunch - AND SWING!

Carolyn we miss you and wish you were still here to go on adventures with us!!

Tokyo Day Two

We had a great time on the first day in Tokyo. Our second day consisted of hopping trains to different cities, all day!

We started out in Ginza/Tsukiji. In Tsukiji they have a huge fresh fish market!
So we had Sushi for breakfast.

The locals at this place loved us!
I was also the tallest woman in the fish market - I got a lot of funny looks.

We also met up with one of Sean's friends from TBS - Lane!

We loved the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, but it was sure nice to get back home to our fur baby, Roku!

Tokyo! Day one

Since we never got a honeymoon - we decided to take a trip to
Tokyo for our honeymoon/anniversary.

On our first day we walked around so many different cities and saw a lot of places.

We stayed in Shibuya - which is where the busiest crosswalk in the world is located!

We also walked around Yoygi Park & Meji Shrine.

We also found Harajuku - We loved people watching here. Everyone was all dressed up!

At the end of the day, we found the Hachiko Statue !! If you don't know who Hachi is, you should probably look it up. It is the sweetest dog story every, and Sean and I love dogs!

May 2013

We finally got back to exploring a little more in May - mainly because it was our first wedding anniversary. Obviously, you can put two and two together because our wedding ceremony was technically in September. However, we kinda got married a little early (thanks military).

So our officially wedding date is May 18, 2012.

Here is what we did on our first wedding anniversary.

This awesome place is called Forest Adventure. If you live in Oki and have not gone yet, you are seriously missing out. It is a blast! It is a self -led obstacle course with tons of zip lines.

April 2013

So we kind of went on an exploring hiatus because both Sean and I were working A LOT! On one of my days off though, my friend Erin and I took a day trip to play on roller slides and explore Camp Zanpa.

This roller slide is outrageous and is right near where we live.

Cape Zanpa was so beautiful! Erin and I walked on the beach and then found some fun things - like a giant Shisa, a random petting zoo, and the lighthouse.

Erin was super excited to see this goat at a random petting zoo, in the middle of a parking lot.

We got a little brave and walked down to the rocks where the water was splashing.

More fun things in February

We also met Brandon and Erin, our super adventurous friends!
Boy do we love exploring with them.

We decided to hop in their car with them one day and drive. Little did we know we would stumble upon the most beautiful, "hidden" beaches ! (Thanks to another blog site - it is no longer hidden)

We ended up on a cliff over looking these two beautiful beaches. When we saw them we decided to try to find them!

This is my good friend Erin - aka my exploration partner

This is the beach during the winter time. We recently went back to this beach and WOW the sun sure does make a difference in the colors and scenery.
